Jennifer Ehren earned her PhD in Chemical Engineering at Stanford University in 2008 where she developed therapeutics for the disease Celiac Sprue. She completed her postdoctoral studies at the Salk Institute in La Jolla, CA and is currently a clinical trial coordinator for the Beckman Laser Institute at the University of CA-Irvine. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 33 and continues to be active in breast cancer advocacy. She holds a unique perspective as both a young survivor and a researcher with a background in science.
